in other sports its accepted but not in boxing right? in boxing you have to fight the champion to be a legit champion? in superbowl if you dont play against the defending champion you mean its not legit? because you are playing against a non champion or non title holder? why boxing is different?

Because it's a different sport. Should we give ring girls pom-poms as well? Maybe set up a goal zone in the ring, and give added points depending on where you punch the guy? After you score a knockdown instead of going to the neutral corner you have to run kick a ball through some uprights before the guy gets back up.

Eh. The same tteams dont make it to the championship every year so its a bad analogy but I get your point. I say get rid of all the damn belts then there's no choice. That would make boxing a better sport.
