i could never understand why you people tend to refer to pac's victories as "leftovers" or complain about him fighting at "catchweight" when BOTH Pac and Floyd fought "leftovers" and at "catchweight".

i mean, technically speaking, dela hoya, marquez, and mosley were also leftovers by the time floyd faced them, just like they were leftovers when Pac faced them.

Actually De La Hoya, Mosley, and Marquez were the current linear champions at Junior middelweight, welterweight, and lightweight

Hatton was the reigning junior welterweight champion when he faced Floyd.

Judah was the IBF champion when he faced Floyd

Baldomir was the linear welterweight champion when he faced Floyd

The only true tune up Floyd has had was Sharmba Mitchell

Marquez was a lightweight looking to make history vs Floyd, u can not discount his side of the story and simply call it a tune up fight for Mayweather.

left over steak is always better than left over french fries, at least floyds left overs were coming off wins or ranked top 3 p4p.. while pacs are fresh off loses or showing a decline.... thats a fact nobody can deny that roach said shane was to good 3 years ago when he was trying to fight him but they were so eager to sign the fight after his last 2 outings... thats why people say that thing about the left overs i understand ur point but im just letting u know why, dont call me a ***** either

                Indeed!

But all went down the drain when Floyd tipped the scales higher than the contracted weight.

In reality, there should of never been a catchweight in the first place, if Marquez wants to beat the welterweight champion, then beat the welterweight champion!

And nothing went down the drain cause that fight, even moreso than the Mosley fight, is why many believe Pacquiao would not fare well vs Mayweather. Making his toughest competitor look like an amateur must have hurt Pac's pride in unseen ways.

If you think that I cant compare JMM vs Mayweather to Pac vs Mayweather I'd say your wrong. Team Pacquiao themselves pick Pacquiao's opponents based on how they did against others. If they are looking exposed, defeated, ripe for the taking, they jump on it.

Floyd showed no signs of deterioration vs JMM or Mosley, hence no fight. Dont think for a second that drug testing alone prevented that fight from happening.

To be truthful I don't really give a **** about what fighters do in their spare time. It's just sad I had to bring myself to comment on this thread as apparently their is nothing else to talk about in the boxing world unless it relates to Floyd or Pac!
