I see a slim chance of Rios by TKO because I dont think Marquez can take as much punishment as he did when he fought Pacquiao.. He was at his prime then,, he is now on the decline.. If Marquez can take the punches, I say Marquez UD..

Lol One dude got real serious about the Pac-marquez fights lol anyways this is how I see it, Marquez is not as fast as Acosta and doesn't hit as hard but he is a better counter puncher with accuracy, Rios hits really hard and Marquez is known to fall but you just can't keep him down, and since Rios can take a punch this could be a split decision, Marquez will land more but Rios will have the ring generalship, its gonna be one of those fights that is hard as hell to score. and possibly be the new fight of the year IMO

Co-sign. Marquez's chin is shaky so people forget that he is one of the best of his generation. Rios is a good strong young champion and would probably put Marquez down but Marquez would strafe this kid with combinations like he's never felt before. Acosta is a solid boxer with great pop and a tricky style the difference is Marquez doesn't load up with 2 or 3 punches like Acosta. He would be landing 5 or 6 punch combinations on Rios for 10 rounds before getting him out of there. To beat Marquez you need to be super quick and Rios is not period.

Pacquiao knocked Marquez on his piss drinking ass 4 times (fact) and Marquez never hurt Pacquiao in either fight (fact) and this was a PRIME Marquez and a raw Pacquiao (fact)

That was not a raw Pacquiao he's the same fighter. The argument that Pac's gotten A LOT better since he fought JMM is complete non sense. He is the same freakin fighter. He's been the same fighter since Morales III. He's just fighting guys who haven't timed him, he's great but he is the Same Fighter!!!

Would be one hell of a fight while it lasted, I see the fight being very similar to JMM vs Kats and Diaz 1 in the sense that I see Rios causing the ageing legend trouble early before JMM starts to tag him with clean accurate counter punches to force a late stoppage.

As long as JMM doesn't get old over night.

rios/jmm is a good fight. personally, I'd give rios a few more fights to brush up on his defense.

As much as I like Rios I think Marquez would destroy his career. Rios barely got out of this fight and a seasoned pro like the very accurate Marquez would destroy him. Enjoy being a champion and tighten up your defense before you call out the great JMM.
