In the eyes of the general public, Pacman by far.

In the eyes of hardcore boxing minority, Martinez.

It all depends on what you're aiming for.

Martinez would be a footnote compared to a Pac win in the annals of boxing history.

Yeah a legit title in a 6th weight class, beating the linear MW champ, would certainly be impressive. Pac's a better fighter than Sergio, but he's basically a LW that isn't draining himself to make weight anymore. Floyd has almost every advantage imaginable over Pac: defense, reach, height, jab, etc. At least with Martinez, Floyd has a considerable size advantage to overcome.

A rematch with Josie Harris would seal Floyd's legacy.

If Sergio beats Floyd its because "Sergio is naturally bigger than him in any way"
If Pacquiao beats Floyd its because "Floyd went on vacation"

          it goes other ways too

Obviously beating another ATG would do more for his legacy.

baeting ATG like Pac would be a legacy. beating Martinez just makes FLoyd higher in ATG ranking. Martinez is far from ATG and a borderline hall of famer.

ATTENTION haters and *****s, Williams beat Martinez in a close fight and no one is talking about WIlliams legacy. if ever Sergei beat Martinez are you *****s saying Sergei suddenly become ATG? there is no legacy beating Martinez. ask Paul Williams..

It doesn't matter who's atg's or hof'ers. Martinez a bigger and great fighter. Not to mention his style isn't tailor made for May. 20 years later down the road when those watch May fights, they're be more impressed with a win vs. him than Pac. Weight moving and winning is always better and more impressive than fighting and beating those in ya class
Pac is ATG. you beat him you will get recognize FOREVER. beating Martinez would make Floyd like ive said higher in ATG ranking and a nice name in his resume. Williams beat Sergio in a close fight and nobody was talking about Williams LEGACY.

and stop those TAILOR MADE b.s. no such thing. You saw the fight last night? Acosta who has a great movement, fast hand, good power, nice footwork just LOST to a come forward pressure fighter with no head movement, no defense, no hand speed, no footwork.

TECHNICAL ABILITY is not superior in any style. slick fighter doesnt always win. technical fighter look good in the ring and still come out loser.

pac is the harder fight, so of course he would get more credit for beating pac................

Well if Floyd were to beat Martinez at 160 he would be the Lineal Champion at 160 thus meaning he would have been Lineal Champion at 130 and 160 which is quite a feat and does alot for his legacy.

On the flipside Pacquaio is in the prime of his career and lightyears greater than Sergio Martinez.

                    I'm saying Pacqiauo.

Martinez does.Pacman does more financially, but Legacy wise, with Martinez having won the middleweight crown,it does far more for him legacy wise.
