In the eyes of hardcore boxing minority, Martinez.

It all depends on what you're aiming for.

Martinez would be a footnote compared to a Pac win in the annals of boxing history.

If Floyd fought him at 160, no catchweight, then obviously Martinez.

Yeah a legit title in a 6th weight class, beating the linear MW champ, would certainly be impressive. Pac's a better fighter than Sergio, but he's basically a LW that isn't draining himself to make weight anymore. Floyd has almost every advantage imaginable over Pac: defense, reach, height, jab, etc. At least with Martinez, Floyd has a considerable size advantage to overcome.

Not to mention his style isn't tailor made for May. 20 years later down the road when those watch May fights, they're be more impressed with a win vs. him than Pac. Weight moving and winning is always better and more impressive than fighting and beating those in ya class

Well if Floyd were to beat Martinez at 160 he would be the Lineal Champion at 160 thus meaning he would have been Lineal Champion at 130 and 160 which is quite a feat and does alot for his legacy.

On the flipside Pacquaio is in the prime of his career and lightyears greater than Sergio Martinez.

Martinez does.Pacman does more financially,but Legacy wise,with Martinez having won the middleweight crown,it does far more for him legacy wise.
