So, how was Rios vs Acosta?

I didn't see the fight, but from reading the article in the main page I can't help but think Rios looked like crap...how was it?

Crap? Not at all. He obviously isn't overly skilled but he did some very smart things in the fight and kept his hands held high.

Really? Well the writer made it seem like Rios was getting humilliated in there until he landed a lucky punch.

Not true at all. All the judges (and me) had Rios ahead on the scorecards. Acosta was doing well early (I gave him the first 4 rounds) but in round 6 Rios put Acosta down with a stiff jab and Acosta wasn't the same after that. Acosta hung in there and roughed Rios up in the later rounds but Rios was really landing some good shots.

Download it and watch it. Probably FOTY so far (but I don't think it could win).

it was a fantastic fight, rios was having problems early acosta's lateral movement was clearly giving him problems he won the first four rounds and he has some power himself he looked like he was about to drop or possibly even stop rios at one point.

but rios is like margarito in that he gets better as the fight goes on, the constant pressure is what broke acosta and like Kevin Malone said that knockdown changed everything it came out of no where acosta was never really the same his legs weren't all there.

Not really it reminded me Pirog-Jacobs and Cotto-Marg, while Acosta was ahead on the scorecards, you could see RIos' relentless pressure getting to Acosta - he was constantly on the ropes and it looked like he couldn't hurt Rios in the last 2 rounds.

You rub elbows with the judges?
