Both fights were impressive in their own ways.

    1. Donaire for beating a much better opponent than Acosta in a way that was unexpected. (Made a hall of famer look like an amateur, and I am a fan of Montiel)
    2. Rio for his heart, and relentless pressure that was able to win him a fight that he was losing on the scorecards (Not Ellie's.....hahah) to a great underrated fighter with more skills than him.

Donaire is destined for greatness because of his tremendous skill, and crossover appeal. He has physical skill as well. He is probably the best all around fighter besides the old breed (Pac, May, JMM, Martinez, Hopkins, and the Klitschkos). He stands along them.

Rios if a fighter who wins with pure heart, pressure, and power. His skills are limited, but he makes up for it with heart. He is a great example of the great Mexican pressure fighters. Any fight that Bam Bam is in will be an entertaining one.

Without heart in this sport you will not go far. Like Ali said " The will must be stronger than the skill."

      montiel >>>>>>acosta

you guys are impressed with rios' lack of skill but he still manages to win. that doesn't make any damn sense.

IDK but I think you forgot to mention a mexican and a chicano who're about to have a rematch sometime soon.

Both amazing fights. I'll go for Donaire for sheer technical brilliance.

I will say Rios because Acosta is a lot more talented then Montiel
