I thought Calzaghe won it quite clearly, but that's another debate.

I agree with Pascal, Hopkins would get more props from me if he handled his defeats better. But that's just him, he'll always be this ****y, controversial character that defies the odds and makes other people look bad. That's his style and he's developed it into a highly effective trademark.

I'm just amazed that a 45 year old can perform like BHop does.

that is my challenge to you, if you are a true boxing fan you will watch it and

      clearly see my point.
In my opinion. Hopkins let that fight slip by him by not letting his hands go. I'm sure he could have put Calzaghe out. Hopkins dropped him in the very beginning of the fight. Same with Jermaine Taylor. Wasn't like Hopkins ever got beat bad. He just doesn't let his hands go when he is supposed to at times.

sure...you won the first 3 rounds then after that you lost the remaining 9 rounds and now hes acting like he actually won against him even though the fact that it was a draw and that he was absolutely schooled by hopkins in his own back yard

exactly...only thing missing from pascal was putting in some solid bodywork, and he would have had nard where he wanted him in the later rounds...hopefully he can get the job done

i agree with the draw, but im sure Hopkins age has a lot to do with the reason why some believe B-Hop won. its funny because all anyone can say about Hopkins/ Calzaghe to try and justify a B-Hop win is that he knocked Joe down and countered him. Now that Hopkins was the one on the canvas twice and the one being countered until the last bell people have a different view of how to see the fight. but hey hes 46.

2 knockdowns and atleast 5 rounds for pascal. atleast 7 rounds for hopkins. even if the momentum was swinging in Hopkins favor in the later rounds i think Pascal won the 12 and there were a couple of rounds that could have gone either way.

Richard Schaefer has done all of the crying and yelling of robbery for hopkins. Hopkins really hasn't said much other than he believes he won the fight and he believes the fans think he won the fight.

He complained a lot against calzaghe and taylor and was pretty bitter afterwords, but as far as this fight goes he's remained pretty calm and cool about the whole situation and hasn't been disrespectful at all.

Well, personally a draw in the first fight was completely fair. Whether you believe Hopkins was knocked down twice or once or not at all, the ref ruled two knockdowns which is a four point switch and you have to score it the way the ref sees it. I had Hopkins winning seven rounds to five, but with the two knockdowns, it's an even fight. If you have either fighter winning by one point I won't argue with that either. The thing is Hopkins benefitted most by this draw since now he has a three fight contract which guarantees three more big paydays. If he would have got the nod and won, would he have been given the same contract. I doubt it because he would have bypassed Pascal and not fought him again and only have Dawson to look at next...

that's why I say that if he can settle his conditionning issue, he should be able to defeat Hopkins
Gassed? If anything he wasted more energy by bouncing all over the place and not letting his hands go. And when he did let his hands go he won rounds. That is why I gave Pascal the 5th and 8th and the 12th round was close enough to go either way. How can you gas yourself when you don't throw any punches? I will also ask does Pascal have a history of stamina problem? Because if he does he did not show it in the Dawson or Froch fight.
