i think he deserves a title shot, the guy can not train for months and still embarrass semi descent pro fighters. james toney will retire when either he gets all the heavyweight belts or someone knocks him clean out, neither of which i see happening anytime soon. and for all the haters of james toney remember this, he is a modern living ledgend, he knows how to box like a brazilian knows how to play football or how a china man knows how to play table tennis, if he fights lazy its because he doesnt need to expend anymore energy than he needs to. plus its better to watch an out of shape guy who knows how to fight rather than some athlete who just uses there training and genetics to win a fight fighting like an ameter.Comment

I agree that he is an embarrassment to the sport now. Who cares about this guy anymore. He beat Ruiz and I thought he would rid us of that chump and then gets busted for steroids. Then he get's busted again later for steroids. Now he weighs almost 260 lbs. Give it up already, anything you do now will just tarnish your legacy. If he at least came to fight in shape, I would respect it but coming to fight as a fat slob is disrespectful to the sport...Comment

Toney is now a fat disgusting pig who brings disgrace to the sport that made him who he once was.
He disrespects boxing and disrespects himself and only cares about a big payday with the Klitschkos that he'll likely never get.

Why Report On James Toney???
Toney, Holyfield... Who cares?!!? Toney is 100lbs heavier than when he knocked out Michael Nunn. He did a sales job to secure a payday with Couture in the UFC, and made a mockery of himself. More than half the crowd in attendance would have put on a better performance than Toney. Have Toney give Holyfield a rematch if both think they still have game. They are both an embarrassment to the sport at this stage of their careers, where they are both YEARS past their prime. Quit reporting their fight results; nobody cares anymore.Comment
