            # 1 and 2 = MP and FMJ. Order depends on whom you prefer, or what P4P list you are looking at. Ring and others have Manny @ number 1, BBC sports and Boxrec have Mayweather at number 1.

After spots 1 and 2 it's reasonably open.

            3. Martinez
            4. Donaire
            5. JMM
            6. ......
            7.......

Is a pretty good first five imo. Put 3,4 and 5 in any order you choose, but i'm pretty certain that those 3 are top 5.

agree with most of the posts on here, but i think that we should be putting in Marques at three

Once again, the pound for pound ranking isn't JUST about wins. It's about who would win if all fighters were ESSENTIALLY the same size.

Part of how you determine this is skills. Another part is how well they implement those skills in their biggest fights. He's faced two former p4p fighters and knocked both out in less then 10 rounds. He hardly lost a single round.

He's incredibly skillful and has shown it against the best around his weight class. He deserves his ranking. And I'm a huge fan of Bradle, Marquez and Martinez. I liek them as much as Donaire, if not more. But, he deserves his ranking.

None of these guys Martinez, Donaires are nearly what Pac is in terms of achievement.
Martinez types are similar in that there are many of these guys floating about who have had a good run of 2 or 3 good fights, and are in the spotlight because of it. Martinez is similar to what Kelly Pavlik was before Sergio Martinez. Pavlik had a little run against JT and a few good performances and was in the spotlight because of it.

Pac on the other hand has been demolishing names for the last 7 years or so. His run is a little better. SO is Floyds even if Floyd hasnt really challenged himself, with not catchweights, but actually having choice of weights mostly.

Sergios are more flash in the pan.
