What i mean by that is that he has the Zab Judah syndrome where if the other guy starts hitting him he unravels and slowly breaks down.

We haven't seen enough to determine that, but ppl act like this guy couldn't even compete with world class comp when he has the tools to be live against anyone at 140 or 147.

We saw glimpses of it against peterson. I mean he had Peterson by the neck, he was stronger, bigger, more powerful and for some reason when Peterson was tagging him he started to back off and fought scared. Peterson has little power and he was rattling ortiz with it.

He has the tools physically but mentally I'm not sure. We could have another Zab Judah here.

i think he's just hit a bump in his career. he needs a new camp and tune up fights to get back his confidence. in some article, robert garcia said that ortiz doesn't like being hit, i guess you can see that throughout some of his fights, he's a bit gunshy at times. ortiz just needs to take it easy, maybe a better trainer to boost his confidence and get use to slugging it out in a fight, if he has to. but with this berto fight, who knows whats going to happen to him. maybe he is finally ready to get hit and prove he is back from that maidana fight, or maybe this will send him into a deeper hole. were just gonna have to wait and see though...

If he doesn't like getting hit then he really needs to get a new trainer. Danny Garcia will not teach him Defense. Maybe he should try and get Mayweather Sr. to train him. He'd teach him some better defense.

that's fine when you are doing it against a Maidana but it holds no water if it's an aged Nate Campbell or a guy he had down twice in Lamont Peterson

and no he did not dominate the Peterson fight in fact after round three it was him largely getting dominated

this I agree with 100% the kid has immense skills and anyone not seeing that I question their objectivity.

it's the intangible that seems to be in question though and that plays a huge role in boxing as well

How anybody can look at Miranda Cosgrove's face and feel an attraction is something I'll never understand.

When the draw with Peterson was announced, Victor's reaction was strange. He didn't even seem disappointed.

It's similar to his loss to Maidana at the post fight press conference he was laughing and joking around, that too was strange IMO.

I remember reading in an old issue of ring magazine he was considered to be one of the top 10 guys Pacquiao could have fought - much has changed since then.

                      No, he's overrated

                      He's a journeyman

He was demolished by maidana, Struggled against fellow journeyman altorre, and got a gift draw against gatekeeper peterson
