The way the philippine media blasted him for not having a good relationship with his father while propping up how great manny pacquiao is for getting along with his dad was one of the most hypocritical & disgusting acts of sporting journalism i have ever witnessed.
Now that he's winning, i guess its all good?
You pinoys dont deserve donaire.
its like saying fox new represents the sentiment of all Americans. that's rather foolish.Comment

I heard of Donaire when a Pinoy in here mentioned him and showed a link to his fight before the Darchinyan fight. I became a fan of him after he KO'ed Vic. Since then, i have been watching his fights and even bought a ppv just to watch him. The only fight i miss was when he fought Mthalne or whatever you spell it.
To be honest, i didn't like it when Nonito mentioned his father. And he let HBO do that segment before the fight. He knows how Filipino holds the value of family. I hope him and his father amends soon.Comment

it's called cultural differences bitch. with western people, by the time you reach 18 years old you have to go independent and live on your own. if you wanna stay in your parent's house you gotta pay for rent and food. that's not the case in the Philippines but i'll will not explain it further to you because you're a moron and you won't understand it anyway.Comment
