after a number of approaches made by frank warren which were well documented, roy jones junior,hopkins and others including steve collins and the great nigel benn ALL in one way or another AVOIDED joe for ELEVEN YEARS.

This is completely unrelated to this thread. This is not an attack on Calzaghe's resume as a whole. However if you want to quote Warren, after falling out with Calzaghe he went further documenting Calzaghe's shortcomings and even saying Cal was nicknamed by insiders "No Show Joe." So, I think it's best to leave Warren out of it since he only speaks out of his own interest anyway.

Sometimes you have to wait until after a fight for the truth of a situation to be revealed.. But what's clear is clear. I like Pacquiao, but I don't go back and watch him beat a ****ty DLH down over and over again. But to each his own.

It was a bs fight for a payday but as for the excuse Roy wasn't I'n his prime is dumb cause roy losing that fight was more mental to me then physical cause to be honest they was both old.

the fact of the matter is, roy wasn't viewed as shot at all when he was fighting calzaghe. he was still at the "yeah, he's lost a step, but he is still a world class fighter" stage.

so, it is just as logical to say that calzaghe is the REASON he became shot, then it is to say "roy was shot going into the fight". IT IS WHAT IT IS - and what it is, is that calzaghe beat the mother****ing brakes off roy jones jr., and embarrassed him exponentially worse then he has ever embarrassed anyone else.

if i remember correctly, now please, correct me if im wrong, and pardon my ignorance. . . BUT, wasn't joe only like a 1.5/1 favorite or something? maybe 2-1? It really wasn't some match like "maidana-morales" where morales will likely be a 4 or 5 AT LEAST to 1 under dog.

and no, roy did ****y **** to BUMS. he sure as **** didn't do that **** to tarver, lol. OR glen johnson.

in context, telesco, lou del valle, and a laundry list of those "bums" deserved everything RJ did to them. they disrespected roy before and during the fights. roy played their hate to the crowd, his amazing physical ability set them off and his showmanship capitalized on it.
