Bradley was voted overseas fighter of the year by the British boxing writers when he came over and beat Witter. So I think he's pretty well known in the UK.

As far as Khan vs Bradley, it's a big fight because its a unification and undisputed fight - but not that big of deal in terms of British boxing as a whole. The UK is more than just one fighter, and there is a lot of talented boxers out there.

In the Khan matchup, everything practically favors him and I think most British would be choosing Khan. Bradley is not looked at as a serious threat. Khan is not a legend in Britain but majority consider him the real deal. A loss would be very bad.
The majority of casual fans in the UK think that any Brit who holds any sort of world title is the real deal. Real boxing fans in the UK consider Khan to be unproven at this point, and know that Bradley is a very good fighter.

And Khan still has a lot of haters in the UK.

As for Khan having all the advantages, athleticism isn't everything. Bradley has a far better defence than Khan, and far more ring intelligence. Without Roach, it would be an easy win for Bradley. With Roach, it's a pick 'em fight. And whichever way it goes, it won't really have much long term effect on British boxing overall.
