Unless I'm mixing you up with someone else, if so I apologise.........
Sorry you misunderstood, I didn't say all the rounds were close, just the championship rounds mentioned. If i recall i had the final 3 rounds 1 for Pac, 1 for Marquez, and 1 even.

Pacquiao fought hard and kept the fight close because of the lead he built in the first round, but overall Marquez was controling the action with his counterpunching.

they like to romanticize the fight since Marquez got up after a terrible start.
They also like to pretend that Marquez did anything at FW.

Also they think along the lines of 'if Marquez hadnt been dropped three times in the first round, imagine what would have happened!!!'. Which #1 isnt a guarentee, and #2 tough **** it didnt happen.

that being said, he made it an extremely close fight. Ironically, the whole scoring of the fight to me depend on 1 round, I think it was round 9...the most uneventful round of the fight.
So I essentially had the fight a draw. There were a lot of close rounds that could have gone either way I have no problem with someone scoring it for either man.
JMM basically showed why he's a great fighter in that fight. Anyone who can recover from 3 first round KDs is a great fighter, no questions asked. This makes it easier for me, a self-acknowledged *******, to accept the draw despite the judging error which should have given Pac his second lineal title and third (?) division title at the time.

The situation then is akin to either Agbeko or Kameda earning a draw with Donaire after the latter's sensational KO of Montiel. Thus, we can't fault people for being over-impressed
unless Im mistaken, Pacquiao had already earned his lineal title with the win over Barrera at 125lbs.

He was already 2 time Lineal champ before the fight happened.

but he missed out on winning an Alphabet at Featherweight. He only has Ring Belt and Lineal at 126.

Pac was the lineal champ, that was his second lineal belt.

Yeah, then them Brits would be calling him a 7-division champ.

I agree, only the lineage and the ring belt. That sucks.

Had it 8-4 Marquez. Add in the knockdowns it was a draw for me. Far from a clear win for Marquez.
