I said i scored it way back when, i don't score fights regularly every time i watch it, but i have seen it recently still see it the same way, had it by about 2 point for Marquez, but it was a close fight in some rounds and a tough fight to score overall. I don't make wild statements like "Marquez won, it's clear to see, go watch it again if you don't think so".

Everyone's see things their own way.

Fight could've gone either way, but I agree that people calling it a robbery is far off.

JMM basically showed why he's a great fighter in that fight. Anyone who can recover from 3 first round KDs is a great fighter, no questions asked. This makes it easier for me, a self-acknowledged *******, to accept the draw despite the judging error which should have given Pac his second lineal title and third (?) division title at the time.

The situation then is akin to either Agbeko or Kameda earning a draw with Donaire after the latter's sensational KO of Montiel. Thus, we can't fault people for being over-impressed.

              Bro

Manny Pacquiao was the Lineal Featherweight Champion at the time.

JMM has 2 alphabets IBF and WBA. In Jin Chi I believe went on to claim the green belt from Brit Brodie.

As for the TS, i have seen the fight & I have to disagree. I don't think Pacquiao mounted a comeback and won the championship rounds, I think he held his own and continued to fight hard but they were still very close rounds. I thought Marquez won it based on how i scored it way back when, didn't see it as a draw, thought the rematch was a much tighter chess match who either fighter could have won.
With one guy scoring 3 KD's in the first and winning the second and your admitting that the rest of thhe fight was very close, I can't see how you can think that Marquez even came near to winning that fight. And we all know that but for an admitted Judge's error Manny P. had won the fight on the cards.

Unless I'm mixing you up with someone else, if so I apologise.........

My bad! I guess I've always harbored the resentment that Pac could've added another lineal title if he had won that fight.
