Lennox, I hear that; he's just phoning it in and picking up a cheque with a vacant smile on his face.
But you're nuts if you'd take Kellerman over Roy; even allowing for any shortcomings Roy may have, he's still quantum-leaps better an analyst than Kellerman.
Hearing Kellerman trying to talk down Steward like he's some final authority (during round 1 of Pacquiao-Margarito, among other incidents) makes me puke.
The guy's a complete joke.
Agree to disagree on who's better out of Roy and Max. I like the idea of having a fighter in the commentating team to give a fighter's perspective, but Roy doesn't really speak well. Max is much more clear with his thoughts.
I re-watched the first round of Pac/Marg and I hear what you are saying. I don't think he was trying to talk down to him, but I can't explain why he had that quick comment...
Roy Jones and Lennox Lewis are both fighters, and I don't care for them as commentators. Max is much better at what he does.
Well, that is your opinion. IMO, both lennox and roy are better than max at commentating. While max spends most of his time talking boxing politics and displaying her personal bias for certain fighters, lennox and roy actually talk boxing strategy/what is going on at the momment. The rest of the crew can try all they want, but these guys have the most real knowledge of the game. Lampley is good for hyping/drama and merchant for interviews. Max is trying way too hard to fill the merchants role someday as the commentator with balls who disrespects and asks fighters whatever the **** he wants. ****s getting old. But thats what i think.
