Donaire came at the opening bell looking like he once caught Montiel with his wife at a motel. Showed no respect with full of confidence. The skill and timing required to execute such perfect counter was astounding. Somehow, it just overshadows Martinez' one punch KO of Williams. I don't see Mares having any chance against this dude at all. Agbeko? Hemight have a chance perhaps due to him being a little bit faster than Mares. But I still think that either one will get blown out by the Flash. I thought Donaire put everyone in the batamweight division on notice when he slaughtered Sidorenko. Now he just basically told eveyone at bantam - "Don't f_ck with me!". Vic Darchinyan, for your own good, don't ever again mention the name Donaire.

respect to montiel for not making any BS excuses like saying he got hit by a lucky punch or he didnt have a good training camp or donaire was on steroids.
took the loss like a man.

When a fighter fights smaller guys he looks great im not discredting donaire in no way guy got better skills then pac he can actually use angles and box but can brawl without ggetting hit but we can only see his true greatness when he fights guys his size in tje 122 126 division

It doesn't "overshadow" Martinez's shot. Serg knocked out a top 5 p4p out and had him out cold face first they could've counted to thirty and he wouldn't have gotten up. Montiel is elite but dude has been down plenty of times. Williams had shown an iron chin he had never been seriously hurt before. Stay objective. Donaire is the truth though he will be the top p4p guy. He wont see anybody in his league until juanma and gamboa he'll be a champ up to 135 at least.

props to donaire for the victory though
Some fans on here also said Judah won 3 rounds VS Kosta Tzyu, even though it was a 3 round fight. Just sayin'

Montiel outweighed Donaire by 6 pounds (126 compared to 134). Boxing has weight divisions not height n he was only 2 inches taller anyway. Mayweather's toughest fights came against guys like Chavez at 130 or Castillo at 135 but he's dominated bigger guys since, Manny's toughest fights n losses came at 130 or below but he's shut everyone else out since moving up....but Donaire fights a unified champ who actually outweighs him by 6lbs and you guys bring up all these size excuses?

Why do people keep insisting that Donaire needs to fight bigger guys? He rehydrated to 126lbs which is only 8lbs compared to Montiel who rehydrated to 132lbs which is 14lbs. What a big difference is that? Donaire is not that big of a guy. He might be taller, but all in all he's about the same size with all the other bantamweights. People are saying that Donaire needs to fight a Gamboa or Lopez, but come fight night, those guys are easily over 130lbs when Donaire is rehydrating to the featherweight limit. And I do absolutely agree that he is a much much better skilled boxer than Pac.
