The Philippines have a very rich boxing culture. They have been putting out great boxers since the beginning. I agree with this post. now more then ever, it is time for filipino boxers to shine. Pacquiao was far from the first great filipino fighter, but he has helped lay the foundation for even a larger, world wide fan base for filipino fighters. With Donaire, and others like Gesta coming up - it'll be hard for anyone to deny their rightful spot for greatness in contemporary fistic era.
