Nonito Donaire is more American than Filipino though...everything about him (in AND out of the ring) screams American...just like his good friend, former Gold Medalist and current Super Middleweight King, Andre Ward...

Yeah...Nonito Donaire is probably one of the most AMERICAN Americans of Filipino descent on the planet...the only reason he's putting his old heritage up front is in the hopes of gaining the same, fully blind support Manny receives...and one can't blame him for that...
We're still proud of him.

Another one or two consecutive spectacular wins from Donaire and once Martinez gets exposed by the great European boxers, then PAC and Nonito are no. 1 and 2. Thoughts...
but on the flip...it would be cool to see the PI become a boxing rich nation....I hope Manny and Nonito are inspiring the next generation.....this is what the sport is about....it would be a beautiful thing

he's had enough good wins and been fighting long enough to be the kind of fighter to be "exposed".
anyways what would be interesting is how much longer serge can remain atop 154-160. he is pretty old.
or if he can compete at 168.
