How devistating is a shot to the temple?

Luckily it wasnt in the temple, it hit his check bone

But a temple shot like that would be devastating and possibly kill

It looked like the temple was within the impact zone of the punch, but your right it wasn't directly on the temple, still i think it must have caused an effect.

i dunno but it was near the ear it gives me a tingly feeling all the way down to the spine and legs which made me leg buckle a little.... it lasted like 1sec then i went to destroy the ****er.

the most devastating i got hit with was a quick 1'2 in the frontal chin. Felt like my head went out my own head and made me buckle lasted about 2secs i recovered fine then i made em quit wit accumulated punches.

i'm an amateur so i always wear headgear even during matches, so i've never been hit flush like that with bone damage.

i can tell you though that even with headgear, a solid hook to the temple makes you really drunk real quick.

i remember reading one time that a little kid got hit square on the temple with a toy golf club (by accident) and died.

A counter shot from a devastating puncher like Donaire plus Montiel's body weight going foward after landing a shot, not to mention it landed perfectly, that chet was lethal. Easy work for 'Nito.
