    Which fight was more exciting?

Note: I said which fight was more exciting, not who fought who first.

I personally think DLH vs Vargas was way more exciting. Oscar and Fernando absolutely despised each other, Vargas taunted Oscar for years calling him a fag, coward, and claimed to be more Mexican than Oscar. Then on fight night you could see the anxiousness of both guys to get in there and beat each other down. The drama behind this fight made all the more fun to watch!

    What do you guys think?

    Both were equally as exciting!

      Trinidad-Vargas was better IMO.

DLH-Vargas was a hell of a fight too though.

oh man.. definately tito VS Vargas

That **** was dramatic as hell.. the way tito was just an absolute monster, and Vargas held him off as long as he could until tito ate his soul and took everything out of him.

the fact that Vargas was staring the devil in the face and absolutely refused to give up made it even better.

The De-la hoya fight was good, but wasn't as dramatic because oscar out-skilled him- but Tito out-willed him.

I like the ending of both, spectacular knockouts, but I'll go with Trinidad vs Vargas as more exciting because Fernando is undefeated, and as rounds go by, I keep watching Tito-Vargas, knockdowns occured, low blows, deducted points, Hoya-Vargas produced the same pattern in the middle rounds, only in the 10th when Oscar nailed Vargas in the last few seconds rocked ferocious.

Well...both were good but I loved how Oscar beat that thug wannabe Vargas down. I have this disgust towards "gangsters"...never liked them pussies.

how is vargas a wannabe anything? idk if i would call him a gangster but hes a legit tough guy and not somebody whos posing or pretending. that anger in him is real, hes was one of those guys who just wanted to rip your heart out and eat it.

i personally enjoyed his fight with tito alot more, it was one of those nights thats just special. the DLH fight was good too but not on the same level imo.

Vargas-Trinidad was a far more important fight than De La Hoya and Vargas was.You had Trinidad,an established champion, one of the very best in the sport against Vargas, the most accomplished and proven young talent in the sport at the time.Vargas and Trinidad were the two best fighters in their division, and both at the top of their game.

The fight itself - from the very start of the fight until the very end - was full of drama.Vargas came back from almost being knocked out early on to taking control of the fight and fighting on even terms with Trinidad until being brutally dispatched in the final round.

Vargas was damaged goods after Trinidad. He was a much slower, much less mobile, much easier to hurt boxer after what Trinidad did to him.Watching him afterwards was simply watching a lesser fighter.
