this is the same reasoning that says wifebeater doesn't have to win fights in the ring, just on paper, twitter and facebook.

nonito needs to clear out the division in the ring, not in fantasy fights.

donaire will go up. he will challenge himself.

nonito is not a big ass bantam. he weighed 126 lbs on fight night, montiel was 130 lbs....

          Prof

Gerry is a natural 115-118 fighter while he was outlanded by JuanMa by at least 4-1. JuanMa wasnt sure he was winning the fight because he felt Gerry's punches and he cannot put him away despite landing power bombs on record rate.

Now Nonito is younger than Gerry with more power. It would be a great fight maybe at 126 a year from now if JuanMa is still there.

I think there was a time when Hasegawa was interested in leaving Japan when he was sort of flying under the radar over there. Things changed though and he became really popular. There was some talk of the Gonzalez fight going to Mexico, but it'll be in Tokyo.

It's probably a money issue, Japanese can make more in Japan where the smaller weight classes are more popular. Though Hasegawa is now at 126 and could probably make some decent money in the US.

i heard that nonito wants to clear the 118 division and be the undisputed champ. with his skills and power, it's possible, but it looks his size will be a problem because he's growing and having problem reducing weight. i guess its better for him to move up in higher divisions and collect belts as he moves up. just my opinion... i think nonito will be competitive in the the future up to 135 based from his frame size.

hopefully we'll see him against the Agbeko-Mares winner then a Moreno fight...if he wants to go to 122, there's Wilfredo Vasquez Jr
It would be nice, but I don't think it would happen. Arum and Donaire have hinted that they possibly will move up for their next fight....

I think the plan is Juanma/Gamboa.

I see him fighting the winner of Vasquez Jr-Arce fight(is going to be WV2) next at 122.
