Montiel ¿Shot & past his prime? C'MON!! Stop minimizing Donaire's great victory!! The last time Montiel lost was in 2006 against ex world champ Jhonny Gonzales by a contreversail split decision & before that was in 2003 against then world champion Mark"Too Sharp" Johnson by majority decision & this is ONLY Montiel's 3rd defeat & is the ONLY time he has EVER been KO'd!! Montiel unified the batamweight titles(WBO & WBC) by KNOCKING OUT & BREAKING then WBC world champion Hasegawa's JAW who was making his 10th defense & that was only 3 fights before this 1 & the 2 fights after Hasegawa, Montiel won by KO!!! A SHOT fighter that's PAST his prime wouldn't be able to accomplish that!!!

He offered to be tested at ANY TIME, didn't you watch the preview show? He stated any fighter who wants testing, any commission who wants testing and pretty much anyone who doesn't believe he's clean, can test him at ANY TIME! He didn't even say Conte was giving him any 'vitamins' or anything, just helping with conditioning with the breathing tube, running, etc. So, STFU you hater and let Nonito enjoy the moment as being the TRUTH....

I thought the exact same thing; however, fact is he KO'd someone who doesn't have the best chin in the world. Montiel is/was a very food fighter but has been dropped hard atleast three times before. As a matter of fact, he really lost about three fights ago against a nobody and somehow they got away with a TD. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. If he goes up to 122 and 126 lbs and still KO'ing guys out like that, then we'll have something to worry about.
