To Pinoys: Don't kid yourself. Donaire is one of the bigger guys in the division. Stop denining it.

But at the end of the day, skill and power got him the win. Nothing to do with size.

well, the size advantage doesn't hurt, but with his speed and skills, he could beat a lot of guys at 122-126 lbs.

In all fairness,I believe the TS means that Donaire looked physically bigger (broader shoulders,taller,etc)...with this,I agree.

With that obvious point out of the way,it is a VERY good win for Donaire.As I mentioned before this fight,Donaire will win because he is faster with his hands, good foot movement (which he didn't need to employ tonight) and physically taller.Montiel is more stationary and was waiting for god knows what.

Before the fight,I said "Montiel is a top fighter,but Donaire is a special fighter". I hope idiots don't suggest PEDs at work since he is working with Victor Conte....both Donaire and Ward are willing to get tested randomly.

He was definitely the taller of the two. But Montiel weighing in more definitely tells you who the bigger of the two guys is. Montiel had the reach and weight advantage...

I should clarify that I mean taller and broader (thought I explained this)....he was hunched over and still taller than Montiel who fought very upright....no need to play this down or deny it, it's just a fact (by the way,it was skill and the faster hands that won the fight anyways,so I make no excuses-in fact I predicted Donaire winning).
Nonetheless,I view it as a major win for Donaire...there are no height divisions in boxing-if only other fighters realized this....
