I would never fight in Europe if I was a boxer... That fight was stopped before anything happened. The ref was coming in to stop it before Hearns even got hit with that second punch that was the one that actually hurt him.

Hearns was destined to be KOed soon anyway, but yes, I thought the stoppage was too quick.

Probably he was hurt and got hit with a good shot but I would like to have seen him given a chance to recover or at least try and clench.

Agreed. Sturm hasn't fought anyone with pulse since 2004 and that's when he was robbed against De La Hoya. And it seems he's still holding on to that by fighting bums. I don't think Sturm is relevant or respected outside of Germany.

He needs to get over that DLH ****, i'm getting tired of him hiding behind that. If I got over it, he can do the same.

The loss to DLH is a huge black mark on his record as far as I am concerned. DLH was atrocious at 160. That fight was there for the taking, if Sturm only had some heart. How could he let it slip away in the biggest fight of his career? How could he not beat DLH at 160???

The fight could have gone either way. And that's a huge disgrace when you consider what DLH looked like at 160...
