Why would that be? Berto has no real claim as a champion he won a vacant title from IDK who and hasn't beaten any notable WWs, he is just a contender with a paper title as of now.

Lopez at least beat a top FW to win his title so right now its between him Gamboa and maybe John if he actually gets in this thing.

Do you understand how a true/lineal champion is made? You have to beat the best contender to make the champion, you cannot be awarded it if the champion was to simple retire, I'm assuming Berto would be the relevant contender(which he would be now if Floyd retired) I never claimed he would be the champion, Pacquiao clearly has no claim to be champion unless he beats the relevant contender its not rocket science. Lopez is ranked number 1 at FW which he should be but he is not the champion, he has to beat the number 2 contender to have that claim.

Its not always the same way, you can become the man by just being a staple if enough ppl leave, get beat, become inactive.

Why does it have to be Berto what makes him any more a champ than Zaveck really?

When ppl accept someone as the man they simply are at a weight class, if Floyd is gone IDK many ppl who would really dispute Pac being the true WW champion because he didn't beat a totally unproven Berto.

He'd still be the number 2 contender and most relevant at WW, you don't become the true champ just by people leaving the division, you have to beat the number 1 or 2 contender or the champion to do so, no one has been considered the true champ by fighters simply retiring.

Its not worth debating with an attention whore like yourself, who spouts controversial crap in an effort to seem above talking real boxing, when its obvious that your knowledge of boxing is lacking.
