Well part of the reason Berto gets paid is because he is an investment. He may be a bad investment but he's still an investment that HBO is willing to secure because he's American and has skills that American fight fans like. The guys fighting tomorrow weigh about as much as most 12 year old kids. Before Pacquaio no one cared in America even remotely cared about anything under lightweight. 350,000 dollars is very nice money for Donaire imo. Probably the most money he will ever see for a single fight.
