I think he could have been fighting Henry Cooper and people would have bought it because it was hyped as an all British Heavyweight championship fight which guarantees a KO.

I think any boxing fan who actually follows boxing (many 'boxing fans' i know havent followed it since 1987) would of all been appalled by Harrison being Hayes opponent.
Thats what i'm saying they bought it because of Haye fighting a British opponent, they knew what they were buying, they knew Harrison didnt stand a chance.

Not even close to what Haye Harrison had. Haye Harrison had an hour long preview on Sky Sports.

I don't think it's logic to use such a vague idea like 'if it did well on PPV it means everyone wanted to see it' I mean the fight was CLEARLY aimed at a casual audience and the promotion they put into it was crazy.

Plus, Haye said on Ringside even hardcore boxing fans wanted to see it which is a complete lie.

In that case you clearly didn't speak with many people who brought the fight.

The promotion clearly fooled the casual audience into believing Harrison had a chance at beating Haye.

Did he say HARDCORE boxing fans? I think he said boxing fans and a casual boxing fan is a boxing fan.

It doesn't take a genius to understand what he meant. It's abudently clear he's doing all he can to justify fighting someone the caliber of Audley Harrison.

The fact is it cannot be not justified.

Nope, They paid to support Haye they knew it was a mismatch like Hatton-Lazcano. Haye is close to having the casual support that Hatton had. When the British public get behind a sports star they will buy anything, even more so if it involves another Brit.

The fact that it did well on PPV is justification enough. Now Wlad-Chisora you cannot justify.

                  You can't justify either fight.

Both bull****. Regarldess to if it sells 10,000 PPVs or 1 million PPVs.

Yeah but there was no public demand for Mayweather vs Marquez. There were about 10 other opponents that people wanted to see Mayweather fight.

Your point makes NO SENSE (shock). If that 1 million people had wanted to see the fight, there'd have been no need for promotion, 24/7 etc.

So saying "everyone wanted to see it" as to why it was made is a fallacy. It sold because of the way it was hyped and promoted - aka fooling the public into thinking it was something to see.

Why is Haye never accountable for his own actions? You always have to bring up Wlad....or now Hatton (wtf?) to justify the Harrison fight. Lazcano was ranked in the top 10 of Ring Magazine at Junior Welterweight.

Audley probably wasnt in the top 100.
