So Ortiz is supposed to say no to a title shot? If anything Berto needs to step up his competition, why the hell was mosley vs berto never made after the floyd fight?

Didn't Berto price himself out against Mosley after the Floyd fight?

Goldenboy is in panic mode and they don't know what the hell they are doing anymore.

They're rolling the dice on getting Ortiz a title shot in a division he's never fought in before while the whole time Ortiz is renowned for his inability to defend himself. Makes no sense at all. Not even from a business stand point. They're obviously banking on Ortiz's power, but you can't win big fights without defending yourself as well.

cause even though aydin is berto's mando, berto is the champ and therefore ortiz, despite not being ranked by any org at WW, get a shot all the title as long as he pays the sanctioning fee.

I swear, GBP has the worst matchmakers ever....

my guess, is that they're about to throw ortiz under the bus cause they realized that ortiz ain't gonna be the new GBP cash cow... that guy is gonna be the ginger kid.

it's that, or they are actually dumb enough to think ortiz will win. I mean, yeah ortiz can win... but ortiz imho has less than a 30% chance of winning.

Say what yall want, but it was Cotto (or if you're a PR lover, it was Arum) who turned down interest in a Berto vs Cotto 154 lbs title fight. Yall have to realize that that the haters to this fight are fans who favor TR fighters...is it cause they're better than mostly everyone's? Maybe. But the point is, is that here you have two fighters from two different promoters willing to pit their fighters against each other. Much more than you can say for TR who has shown that all they care about over there (more than the usual promoter) is in house fights. Don did it all the time, but at least his fighters were competitive in their matches.

Why is Berto a 147lbs titleholder? Makes no sense.

ortiz is a bum at 140... now he will fight for a world championship at 147...

you got to love GBP for what they've got for ortiz... as for berto's promoter, he should shift from being a promoter to a bookie...
