It makes no sense. I don't know if he or his promoter have a ******** debt we don't know about? This is a ****** fight to take.

Ortiz should be beating up on tomato cans for the next 2 years and padding his record and rebuilding his rep. He could set himself up for a huge payday against Bradley or Khan somewhere down the line.

If he fights Berto now he will get destroyed. I like Ortiz but this isn't a messageboard or a video game where you can just jump around in weight against quality fighters and not expect to get KTFO.

Nobody really respects Berto as a champion and he's has limited options for opponents. They could have done worse. Im partial to Ortiz tho.

If you wanna blame someone, you can't do place it on Ortiz.

Berto is the champion and the WBC is sanctioning this fight.

Another 140 pounder on Berto's resume won't make his title reign anymore legitimate, but this is a good opportunity for Ortiz.
