Miguel Cotto -vs- Ricardo Mayorga Official Poll!

How does everyone see this playing out? Cotto definitely has trouble with rugged tough fighters. It also looked pretty clear he didn't fare well against a fighter bigger than him. Cotto's a relative noob at 154 lbs. I think Mayorga is a much liver dog than the bookies and many fans are giving him credit for. With that said, I would give the edge to Cotto.

However I can't say it would be too surprising if Cotto fell victim to being KTFO against a bigger guy, who can punch, and isn't affraid to let his hands go. Lets not forget Mayorga was very close on the cards in the Mosley fight. So there isn't a huge disparity in class here.. The one good punch Foreman landed on Cotto, it appeared he felt. It's possible Cotto's punch resistance has deteriorated. Poll to follow, please discuss.

I hope Cotto wins via hook to the body.

Mayorga's performance against Walker tells me he doesn't have much left. I think Cotto KOs Mayorga pretty easily, and shouldn't be fighting such a washed up fighter.

Cotto by Stoppage late is what I expect. Mayorga won't win via decision, a knock-out is needed for him to win this fight. He can however do it!

Mayorga will be exhausted by the 8'th round thought I expect. He doesn't have that killer instinct that he had in his prime.

I hope to see Miguel go back to body punching which he got away from a bit, in any case he should be able to beat a totally shot Mayorga without much trouble. If not then 154lb division is in a terrible state having Mayorga at this stage being a top fighter in the weight class.

You know that was HBK mocking the hell out of Hogan. That was the most Hogan has ever been owned in his career.

Cotto by KO. Body shot like the Tito fight.

Mayorga shouldn't be anywhere near a boxing ring against any kind of champion even his trash talk has barely entertained me.

I'm not sure how I just know Mayorga isn't going to win.

If you asked me this question prime for prime I wouldn't think twice about it in selecting Ricardo.

Now its about a 50/50 fight which mostly depends on if Mayorga did good training for it.

Hopefully Mayorga does us all a favor and rids of boxings biggest charity case once and for all.
