wow, this thread is worthless. so an older shane who looked like crap against mora is a better version then floyd fought. wasn't that the shane that straight steamrolled margarito? im no floyd fan but damn these pac fans come up with some off the wall **** to make their hero/lover look better no matter what he does. it is sad. it really is

Another ******ed thread by this troll. How the hell will Shane be better coming off of 2 losses (IMO he lost the Mora fight and got outboxed) where he gassed out and is a year older????

This same clown probably thought Shane was too old when he fought Floyd, but has somehow found the fountain of youth when he fights Manny....what a joke.

As for inactivity when he fought Floyd...lets not forget that Floyd himself only had 1 fight in nearly 2 years off....Shane had fought over 40 rounds in the same 2 years that Floyd was semi-retired...

Wow, the other day on another thread, there was a ******* who had shitty English while dissing another poster so I told him he skipped English class.

Looks like this ******* skipped Math class.

Did any of you guys even made it to 3rd grade?

He was 38 when he fought Floyd. Idiot.

One year of age isnt much, compare to a two years of inactivity + Mosley wasnt damaged by either FMJ or Mora. I knew this was coming but its hard to dismiss. Perfect example of this would be when Michael Jordan losing at 1995 NBA championship, and winning the following year with an increase of 10% accuracy, +4 point average with less MPG.

YEAR TEAM G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
              94-95 CHI 17 17 39.3 .411 .500 .801 1.5 5.4 6.9 5.3 1.76 .76 2.06 2.80 26.9
              95-96 CHI 82 82 37.7 .495 .427 .834 1.8 4.8 6.6 4.3 2.20 .51 2.40 2.40 30.4

I would understand why floyd fans wouldnt agree. But makes you wonder why Floyd wanted a tune up fights to get rid of what he calls "cob webs"

Pacquiao's victory over the 39 year old Mosley will be more significant than Floyd's win against the same 39 year old. The inactivity is the main issue, not the age since Mosley is essentially the same age.
For this fight : more significant = more convincing win. Everyone has to admit both versions of mosley whom Floyd fought and Pac will fight are past it. So, I believe a shut out or a knock out by Pac will make it more significant.

Why hate on the TS? He's got a point! have you ever played basketball and you had a long lay off due to time constraint? When you came back playing did you feel your A-game is back immediately or after a couple of weeks of actual 48 mins games? You're slightly older, right? Does it mean your a better ball player weeks ago?

But as i've said earlier both versions of Mosley are past prime. But slightly older, most likely fitter Mosley > A year younger, rusty Mosley.

He was 38 when he fought Floyd. The older a fighter gets, the faster the aging process. The Mosley that Pac fights will be older and more beat up.

TS has a good point. I think if Shane fought Floyd 6 months after he KO's Margarito and Floyd didn't have a tune up fight he would've KTFO Floyd. Floyd is the master of cherry picking. Inactivity is a boxers achillies heal.
