Yeah but you shouldnt be forced to.

rematch clauses yes, but an opponent should not be able to dictate who you fight next if its not himself, even if he is a champion. Its a complete nonsense, its even more of a disgrace that they have been reported to enforce 3 klitschko fights in a row.

I do not condone this by any fighter...does it go on with other promoters...of course it does and it is wrong.

People are justifying it by saying 'they get a shot' they are getting a shot at the heavyweight title, and if they win they get to unify. It should be up to them if/when they want to unify or not, every fight should be on its own merit, unless it is an immediate rematch. How much more money do you think corrie sanders would have made if he could have made a few title defences before he fought vitali? It is a total farce...wlad needed big bro to take him out. And now Wlad is the undisputed champ? lol...he would have never beaten Sanders.

What does Sanders have to do with it? You do know Wlad sought a rematch with Sanders but he dropped the WBO belt

As for having options its not rare...in fact, unless youve been following boxing for a week, its in most championship fights. The champions promoters will make sure that if the challenger wins, they get a piece of them. Sometimes with simple rematches, sometimes with options, sometimes with a piece of all future winnings, sometimes with having to fight another fighter in that promoters stable. How hard is it to understand that Wlad and Vitali and K2 are two different things.

Wlad and Vitali are boxers. They go in the ring and beat people. They also have a promotional company called K2. The goal of a promotional company is to make money, thats what they are brought out to do. To make money. Now, how do they make the most money, simple, if Wlad or Vitali loses, the rematch with the other brother will be the biggest HW fight, they, when they have the chance, make sure they set up the fight, they take advantage of having the high ground in negotiations. What the hell is abnormal about that in boxing. Only thing abnormal is its a promotional company owned by 2 brothers who dominate the hw division.

As for choosing rooms, if you dont think its normal for the promotional company to choose the rooms THEY pay for...then you got into boxing yesterday. Ask Monte Barrett what type of room Haye picked out for him, or what kind of food he got. Barrett was told the address to a homeless sheltered and a packet of saltines for his fight with Haye. When Haye fought Valuev, Sauerland/King put him in a decent room, but he wanted a different one so he paid for it out of his pocket. Youre not a slave. Its like winning a free trip to Europe, 10k cash, free airfare, free museum and show passes, free rental car, all you can eat food and drink and refusing to go because theyre putting you in a Doubletree Suite and not a Hyatt Suite and the free food and drink only work at certain restaurants. Its literally that. Thats what Povetkin did.

Vitali didn't fight Brewster at all.

Wlad didn't fight Byrd because Vitali lost to him.

Also Purrity didn't fight Vitali because it was on Wlad's contract, Ross Purrity was 3 years after Wlad.

Sanders dropped his belt to fight Vitali. It wasn't in the contract when he fought Wlad.

                Wlad didn't fight Lennox Lewis.

sweet science has its sweet revenge.

or maybe the first one to lose is the sacrificial lamb for the other.

or maybe some bro-mance... no ****

The OP sounded like he was generalizing about all the Klitschko fights.

"Why do the klits make contracts where you have to fight the other if 1 loses?"

It may have happened, not every single contract, and if people sign the contracts I don't see why that is a problem.
