Johnson was green as well. You're talking about a era devoid of building up fighter's. There was no grooming, or building a fighter up. You fought, you won or lost, you fought again. I can understand that you dont care for Jack Johnson, thats fine to each his own. But dont drop the weight of American on his shoulders, and get pissed because you dont like how he carried the burden. As far as I'm concerned. He uplifted the Black race farther than you could possibly imagine, by showing them.
