Will it make a difference? who knows, but it's an effort to become a better fighter.

Williams is in the same position,'d rather
move down to where he will be 9/10 the longer, heavier fighter, instead of taking the needed steps to correct his flaws and fight at a weightclass where he belongs and honestly where he has a real chance cause no one at 147 will fight him.
and you're missing the point that moving down in weight isn't running from anything or proving that he doesn't want to improve. He lost already at 147 so your argument about his weight class holds 0 weight especially because you already stated that 147 is where he was exposed.

Yes, he needs to work on correcting his flaws, so does every fighter, thanks for that. He could probably use a different trainer.

His style should incorporate his freakish height, he should't fight higher weight classes because he's tall. You junking he looked drained at ww means absolutely zero, he didn't fight weight drained. If he can make 147, that's his class, it's not like he blows up to 165 by fight time.

Looks like Paul is finished with doing business at 160 lmao. I think that KO has scarred him forever.

Sorry but it does seem to me that he's trying to better himself in anyway. He refuses to accept that he was beat and KO'd because of a better opponent took advantage of his flaws, but simply considers it a "lucky punch". He refuses to want to avenge this lose, and wants to move back down to a weightclass where he really isn't going to get a shot at any of the big names there, but will be safe from heavy handed, big fighters that can exploit his flaws. Is it a smart move? sure. Will it make him a better fighter? no.

If he can continue to make 147 then more power to him, but i don't think he can make 147 forever, and it's not going to change the fact he still is going to leave himself open to shots from opponents that aren't at such a reach and height disadvantage.

          that's exactly what it means!

it means he don't want nothing to do with 160 lbs even though if he just improved his defense he'd still be able to compete there.

the only reason anyone goes to a lower weight division is because they know/think/believe that they will have a bigger size advantage beating up on midgets.

team pwill isn't fooling anyone.... we know you ain't a great skilled boxer. you're just an unskilled freak of nature beating up on midgets.

why should he fight 160? he's a string bean.

the lower weight classes (esp 154) is his class, not 160, 168, even though he could probably fight there, what purpose would it serve? to mullify any advantage he might have because he's so tall and so thin?

to prove that he can beat martinez in a rubbermatch?

to prove that he's one of the best of this generation?

to prove that he can win even if he's not fighting midgets?

he ain't too tall or thin for 160 lbs... like I said, all he needs is to work on his defense... he needs to improve, not lose weight. that's a cop out.
