tye fields was going to fight sam peter but it fell through!

a fight with sam peter couldnt get finalized so fields quickly signed to fight michael grant.he was peters sparring partner in his camps to fight the klitschkos.they are actually good friends & i would have rather of seen that fight but grant is ok.imagine if he beat peter...he would be top 5 in world & i would have loved to seen how many fans would jump on his nuts...at least i have cheered for him through thick & thin...good luck tye & i hope big things happen for you.he has worked very hard to improve at this sport regardless of the naysayers.ive heard tye was sent home twice in training camps because he was kicking guys ass sparring.rahman & arreola both sent him home....they both lost their fights vs the klits...I AM THE #1 tye fields supporter on this site!!!!!

A win over Michael Grant will get people talking about Tye Fields as a contender, again. I think Michael Grant will be a big step up in comp even though he's not highly regarded here on Boxingscene. Grant has a good size, reach, and had he let his hands go a little more against Adamek he might have won that fight. In any case, I could see this fight being entertaining..

i agree & he is only the 2nd guy grant has fought in a couple years.we can compare fields & adameks performances to see where fields stands in the world scene.there are so many younger fans that never watched grant coming up.he was a very good fighter that never recovered from the lewis fight.he walked away with 5 million after that fight.he returned a year later & broke his ankle vs mccline & he was never the same.it took him a year to recover & after 2 years removed from the lewis fight he never had the desire to fight at an elite level.

If Grant shows up in any kind of descent condition Fields will be slaughtered.

However, the people handling Fields must know something about Grant not being sharp or in shape or something, or they wouldn't put their spoon fed Carnera reincarnation in the ring with Grant........Rockin'

Grant is still better than a Bruce Seldon and roughly on the same level as Monte Barrett. It will be a battle between two skysc****rs for sure.

Decent fight, Grant showed against Adamek that he's no pushover. In fact I'd have him as favourite for this fight.
