Here's my take:
At the very least for championship fights. It would lessen the possibility of draws, also the possibility of having to go to the scorecards considering that it extends the fights hence there might be a chance of the outcome being a KO/TKO. It also gives you a more dramatic fight as 13-15 rounds were tough with both fighters being more tired and limited at that point(not in all fights). A downside is the health of the fighters but IMO fighting 12rnds instead of 15rnds won't make much a a difference in the health of the fighter, just IMO since i've never been neither 12 nor 15 in the ring.
Here's an example of how an outcome can change in a 15 round fight:
Wilfred Benitez- Ray Leonard
Fight went 15 rounds and ended in a TKO in the 15th very close to the last bell(6 seconds) in a very competitive fight where maybe, just maybe it could have been different and there could have been a second fight. Leonard was ahead anyways in the scorecards before anyone comments on that.
Anyways, what are your thoughts?
