    Exactly.

Floyd could be well past his prime, and still not get caught flush on a regular basis, to the point of being TKO'd. James Toney is the same way, never got Ko'd, although he is a bit punch drunk now, but that's not because of lack of defense, but rather lack of Discipline in training. If he wasn't a lazy ****, he wouldn't be laying on the ropes all the damn time, playing Rope-a-dope with his shouler roll.

No it is the doctors fault. If someone is having problems seeing things balanced, basic tests like getting them to keep sight of the object, walk in a straight line etc. would pick it up.

You also have brain scans too.

Holyfield has gotta be high in the danger zone. Cotto is getting there. Manny sould eventually be there too.

And people wonder why Floyd is safety first???

Fcuk the fans. I'd rather get out of the sport with all my faculties in tact then put on "entertainment" for a sport that doesn't give a crap about me when I'm gone.

Would ANY of you Floyd or Manny fans assist them if they wound up broke and in dire need of help after all the "entertainment" they've brought you through the years??

Floyd is right. Fcuk that ****.

Hope Roy is done for good and get's better.

It's the governing body's fault - or lack of one.

Boxers should be required to take neurological / psycho-analysis tests.

It's crazy that pro rugby players should be required to, but not boxers.

                Scary Stuff

These guys know the risk of their profession. Roy Jones Jr is fortunate in that he has the money to seek treatment. There are a lot of boxers out there who are used as punching bags with records like 6-31 (1KO). These are the individuals the boxing organizations need to focus on. It takes a certain mindframe to step into the ring. For someone to say that a boxer should retire may be right, but that type of thought process is why they themselves never became a fighter. In a lot of cases the sport of boxing has helped turn around many lives and a lot of fighters feel a sense of loyalty to the sport. I think many of us, if we had the opportunity, would take a 50/50 chance of dementia in our 60's or 70's in exchange for the security of our families for many generations to come. Scary stuff, but I hope Roy Jones Jr recieves the help he is looking for. It would be a sad day indeed if Roy was unable to continue his broadcasting due to speech or memory issues.
