This was an excellent read. I can't really feel sorry for the kid.
Social Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have granted public figures and their fans unprecedented access to one another. Fans are now able to keep in touch with their favorite fighters in a way that was previously unheard of. Of course, these benefits also carry the added responsibility of allowing a lot more people into your world than you’ve previously been accustomed too. This feature requires the individual to self-censor themselves to ensure that they don’t self-incriminate or slip some aspects of their lives into a public environment that they previously would have been hesitant to do so.
One fighter who’s learned the more negative possibilities of social networking is Omar Henry. That name may only be familiar to the hardcore fans of the sport but I ensure you that Henry was a fighter who was on the fast track to stardom.....

wow i cant believe all this, Omar was looking good in las vegs when i seen him
It's funny cause the first time I saw him fight, I posted on Top Ranks facebook page, I believe, about how I became a fan and was looking forward to more fights from him. Couple hours later, I get a friend request from none-other than Omar Henry. I thought it was real cool at the time. Now all I see from him is partying, posing in front of rented exotic cars, and kicking it with "his boys" Rob Kardashian and Diddy's son. Instead of getting updates on his career, which is what I was looking forward to.
There's also rumors swirling that Omar is living/sleeping at a boxing gym in Vegas. But you can tell that he is probably missing a few screws because serious prospects or future champs don't act like that.
at least floyd worked his ass off to the top before turning like that. lol this kid has it completely backwards he wants to become a celebrity without fighting anyone!
lmao. Can't help but laugh at him for being a complete dumbass.
He's one of 2 or 3 boxers I'm friends with on facebook. Didn't know his career had hit a speed bump. Sucks for him, but he's still tremendously talented so he just needs some guidance.
