Tony Thompson is the third best Heavyweight in the division

Haye is looked at as the 3rd best, but in reality Thompson demolished him in sparring and knocked him down, even with headgear and protective gloves. and thats saying something, because Thompson himself says he couldnt punch his way out of a paper bag.

so why did Haye go down? not off a lucky punch. because Thompson was beating the **** out of him until his glass chin turned into dust.
Audley Harrison earlier told Sky Sports News that American southpaw Tony 'The Tiger' Thompson had floored David Haye during sparring sessions for Haye's WBA heavyweight title defence against Audley on November 13th. Thompson was brought over to replicate Audley's style but 'A-Force' claims that the American brought more to the table than Haye could handle, telling Sky that he has heard rumours of Haye struggling with the 6' 5'' boxer.

I thought TT came out after and said it was a lie and that Haye was beating his ass in sparring? I wouldn't be surprised if he did knock him down, Hayes chin is appalling. Not that sparring really means much anyway.

There are plenty of heavyweights in the division I would put ahead of Thompson, no offense.

Here's a list of fighters that would probably beat him.

            Chambers
Adamek I think would have no problem beating him.
Povetkin, if he is in shape.
            Arreola would probably beat him.
Sam Peter would have a good shot.

Really, he might be in the top 5 but not after his next fight, which I believe he will end up losing if he fights anyone at the top. I mean we all saw him out cold against Wlad.

He hasn't fought anyone good in almost 2 years. He's fighting bums right now.

There's no way he's third in the division, no way at all.

hes just being a good sparring partner and modest. youre not supposed to admit if you were murering someone in sparring, especially since Tony is forced to make a living off of doing it. If you keep beating people up in sparring and telling the world about it, no one will call you in to spar again.

You know as well as we all know that sparring means absolutely nothing.

So your evidence is Audley Harrisons word? Getting the better of sparring doesn't change your ranking, it happens all the time, I guess we should credit Greb for being the best HW when he sparred Dempsey, no?
