Roy certainly had skills in his technique, I'm not gonna lie. I'm a huge Roy fan by the way but I always thought that he didn't have 'proper' technical skills to back up once his athleticism faded.
Ali had the ability to adapt and box better when his speed and reflexes faded but Roy didn't, which led him to his downfall.
