That's what he was, a "talented" fighter and not a very skillful one. Not that he did not have skills, it's just he had to rely on athleticism, reflex, and speed more. But when you reach a certain age you're f**ked! Unlike Hopkins or JMMarquez who rely simply on skills and ring smarts.
Roy was a special fighter who was an unstoppable force in his prime but had terrible technique. Once those physical gifts faded he was doomed.

He throws straight and accurate punches so I don't know what you guys are talking about.
Just because Hopkins said it, it doesn't make it true. If talent and handpseed is all it took to be a great then why didn't Meldrick Taylor or Andre Dirrell become great?
Roy Jones was very good technically in his prime, unorthodox but still good.
