if there were more competitive matches like lopez vs gamboa and alexander vs bradley (those are just examples, i dont think much of gamboa or alexander) wouldnt "casual fans" be more interested? then every fight could be a big deal??? maybe im ******.

but personally i see the top guys regularly fighting as a GOOD thing for boxing. these promoters worry about losing their cash cow, but why not make every fighter a cash cow by having them in good competitive fights?

Man, I'm tired of money being the center of why or why not good match ups get made. I mean even if Alexander-Bradley was a financial bust and didn't live up to expectations action wise, it still produced division clarity and because of that, we can look forward to better and more meaningful fights like Khan-Bradley and what have you.

With Gamboa and Lopez being protected like this, I think that is unfair to guys who are interested in putting in work. Look at guys like Hasegawa and Gonzalez? Hasegawa will likely win that fight, and if Arum was smart he'd have Gambao and Lopez fight each other and have one of his guys travel to Japan for big bucks. He should at least match up Gamboa and John like was mentioned in the past.

Even if Gamboa and Lopez didn't live up to financial standards, it would still lead to bigger and better things but I guess Bob just wants to keep holding the division hostage.

Man I am surprised with this post from u bro, well done, u actually sound like you know something now, just sayin, no hate...

That in the bold was great...

Now like it or not people, the rematch with Marquez is going to happen, I know a lot of people don't like it, but if u didnt think the first fight was good, ur crazy, and I 100% believe that Marquez was hurt (just don't like the way he discredited the win after saying it was cuz he was hurt) Juanma is a man of his word and promised Marquez in the ring in front of viewers that he would give him the rematch ( a man's word should also be important to u guys) I guarantee the Lopez Gamboa fight won't happen till next year, mock my words....

This is why the business model of the UFC is superior. You'll never hear them tell their fans that they can't get get the fights they want because more time is needed for a "buildup."

That's because there all under contract under the UFC, and somehow are able to continue to get away with paying there fighters dog ****.

One day MMA fighters will unionize and the states will force UFC to pay there fighters a specific % of there earnings, and there business model will change a whole lot.
