Any news if Berto vs. Ortiz is finalized?

Is Ortiz really not being allowed a cut man for the fight? That is complete BS...But if I was handling Ortiz as of right now at this stage of his career I'd rather have Ortiz vs Koltelnik at 147 or at the catchweight fight he wanted at 145 seeing how Koltelnik wants to move up in weight as well...I'm not saying Ortiz can lose to Berto, because I think Berto will get chin checked very early and will lose a UD due to several knock downs or an early stoppage...If Ortiz does take this fight then he needs to move his camp elsewhere...Needs to stay away from the Knuckleheadz boxing gym in Ventura and get some real sparring with some fast handed guys...I don't think he's getting the kind of world class sparring he needs to be taking at this stage of his career...Comment

VO is my boy but logic says Berto's speed might dictate the fight... I give Vic props for trying to get the fight done. People gotta understand Vic only has ONE REAL loss to Maidana in which he also showed flashes of greatness in the beginning. Vic needs to work himself up still. I think this fight for him is premature. I would love to see him against Kotelnik THEN step up against someone like Berto or Alexander. The guy seems to still think twice before he goes for the kill...that wasn't him AT ALL before. if he beats a champ like kotelnik, who defeated maidana and took it to alexander, VO's confidence will skyrocket. A Vic with his swag back is VERY dangerous. People gonna hate, it is what it is, but Ortiz still hasn't reached his full potential and look where he's at. just sayin. give the kid a break, he lost against the one guy NO ONE wanted a piece of and STILL people prefer not to fight. I'd love to see Bradley or Alexander go up against Maidana, Khan almost got killed and i think Khan is legit...
anyway, if the fight gets done...fk it! lets get it on!Comment
