Any news if Berto vs. Ortiz is finalized? I have a funny feeling this fight is not going to happen.

All I've heard is that it's close.

Interesting fight, at this stage I would have to say Berto has the advantage because of his slickness and speed but it's a dangerous fight for him because Ortiz takes a good shot and hit's like a sledge hammer.

Even though Ortiz quit, he was never KO'd by a picture perfect punch by Maidana. If the kid toughens up he can be something serious.

If I was Ortiz' people, I don't know if I would throw him in with someone like Berto just yet, give him a few more fights.

Apparently Berto said the fight has to be in his actual living room, Ortiz isn't permited a cutman, and he needs to be guaranteed his next 10 fights are on HBO with minimum $2 million dollar splits in his favor.. Dre don't **** around.

Wow Im surprised Berto could not have gotten a better deal. I will never understand why HBO treats this man like he is the greatest Boxer ever.

As soon as Ortiz gets hit he sees a huge gorilla in front of him.

Steve Kim had this to say today in his latest article on Maxboxing...

The real question in my mind regarding the Andre Berto-Victor Ortiz fight isn’t if it will happen but where it will be staged
I know he mentioned the other day that there was an issue because Ortiz's side wanted and catch-weight and Berto's side did not. So I guess that has been ironed out already...

Give the kid a break man, we will see. People forget how young he is, I want to see how he reacts in the future, the cards are still out on him.
