It's a pick um for me. But Bruhnlaw, you think that Floyd trains for 12 rd fights? He's always fresh at the end of his fights regardless who's in front of him. My guess(I've read it somewhere, just dont remember where)is that he train's as if he's going to be goin for 15rds. But Floyd has not seen anyone near the same calibre as SRL. This fight would be very iteresting if it could've ever happened.

I cant believe this thread is still hot. Everything that could be discussed about this fight has already been said. There isn't anything else that could be added to this thread. You could ****in invite Bert Sugar himself into this thread nad he'd say the exact same thing. All points have been examined.

Leonard via prolonged brutal beating and scintillating knock-out.

I study fighters....Even though Floyd is fighting in this era of the twelve round fightshe is supremely conditioned...Never really winded in his fights.... I know that Floyd spars 20 minutes rounds with sparring partners coming in and out....This is not to knock Leonard but I think Floyd has the edge in conditioning. I also feel that Floyd is the smartest fighter that I have seen since I've been watching the sport, so yes I believe he is smarter.

The advantages I give Leonard are:

          Height, Natural Size, Punching Power,

I think the fight would be great but I feel Floyd would win.

You are right that Floyd never fought anyone like Leonard but the same can be said about Sugar Ray, he never faced a fighter like Floyd

Benitez was arguably a better defensive fighter than Floyd.

Floyd is just not prepared for the firepower and skill Leonard brings.

Benitez was a great defensive fighter but he's not Floyd and his offense is nowhere close sorry!!

Don't sell Floyd short because he's not from yesteryear....He would be a great fighter in any era.

He is defensive and his offense rolls off of that D. He has a chin, has heart, intellect, is crafty, strong and has is all in terms of a pure boxer.

So stop the nonsense about Floyd aint prepared....

I wonder if Leonard would jab to the body and go upstairs with the right hand?

Mayweather is likely open to that combination more than any other one.

Benitez was a great defensive fighter but he's not Floyd and his offense is nowhere close sorry!!
Id love to hear how you think that. Floyd has how many KO/TKOs at Welterweight and up?

Benitez KOed 154lb champ Hope, who was a quality fighter.

Fixed it for ya. The rest of what you wrote is ignorant drivel. Floyd's offense is practically non-existant. That pot-shot BS works against club fighters like Baldomir and washed-up geriatrics like Mosley but it ain't gonna work against a legitimate world-class great. You don't let your hands go against someone like Leonard you lose the fight.....simple as.

wifebeater loses in a close fight.

wifebeater possibly gets knocked down or wobbled early with an outside chance that SRL stops him.

Then we get a few changes in momentum in a chess match, but SRL lands the hard blows to win by decision in the stretch.

doesn't matter if it's 12 or 15 rounds... SRL will win.
