In the UK, and I think the world, it was Tyson.

Japan, South Africa, Europe, Americas all know Tyson.

                Tyson obviously.

DLH had more influence in the LBGT community than boxing.

Tyson was the more spectacular boxer, but DLH was more popular. Because he simply was more likeable as a person. I don't think Mike is a mean, nasty guy privately, but in the public he could be. It ruined his reputation somewhat. But inside the ring, he was the killer. Oscar was too, as a lightweight especially.

Tyson, there are few comparable to him during his peak. ODLH only brought in mexican ppv buys, he didnt bring in people who dont even know the sport like Ray Lenord,Ali or Tyson did.

I think Tyson was like an explosion for boxing. He brought the average fan back to hardcore boxing. The thing about Tyson was that he was knocking people out and KO's sell.

Oscar on the other hand was a more lagit champion. His resume is 10 X better and he was great from the Olympics to his pro career.

It's tough to say because both were big money makers but if you look at the entire career of both men, Oscar was on top longer and generated more money.

SO I would have to go with Oscar.
