    Really ?

I will be honest with you, I did not check the rankings

He certainly aint in my top 10 buddy.

Regardless, I agree with you, he is not a top contender, but he is better than Harrison, or Sosnowski. Personally, I don't bash Wlad's resume' like a lot of others do, because the main point is, who did he miss?

You could maybe name three opponents, none are terribly valid, and one dates back at least 6-7 years..... so I don't have a huge issue with him fighting Chisora.

Except, if that fight offers Haye genuine justification to make excuses.

      How is the justification genuine?

I am not convinced that it is genuine justification, not at all.

But I am definitely not convinced that it is not genuine either.

        The problem is this.....
FACT: 9 weeks is not enough time to promote, and adequately prepare for that fight, so Wlad's "ultimatum", is unwarranted and unjustifiable.

Wlad will NEVER be able to justify or explain, why Haye cannot enjoy a full camp, and a standard buildup.

Whilst I see Wlad's point, now that somebody explained to me the issue with the sky dates, it appears that Wlad may have just handed Haye a possibly valid excuse to walk away from this fight.

I could be wrong, and sincerely hope that I am.

I don't really know what's going on, from either side, and I wouldn't know who to blame, if blame is even due.....

..... but two words keep flashing up like a fkn huge neon sign......

        ..... " Chisora " ..... " unnecessary ".

        Like I say, I hope I'm wrong.

          1) They wouldn't wait until after the Chisora fight to start promoting the Haye fight - just as Judah and Mayweather started promoting their fight as soon as they signed it, before Judah had fought Boldomir, the promotion for Haye-Wlad would have started the moment that fight was signed, and there's no reason why Haye couldn't have signed now, as Adamek has done.

          2) The Chisora fight would have helped promote the Haye fight because a lot of British fans would have watched that fight if the Haye fight had already been signed.

          3) Haye could have said: "9 weeks isn't enough, I'll fight you in September". In fact he could still say that now, because Adamek's contract doesn't specify which Klitschko he will be fighting in September, it only specifies he'll be fighting one of the brothers in September. But Haye didn't say that and isn't saying that - he just pulled out and said he will never fight either of the Klitschkos.

          4) Haye could have said "9 weeks isn't enough, I'll fight Vitali in July (or in September)". But he didn't, and isn't. He just pulled out and said he will never fight either of the Klitschkos.

So I don't buy that he's even slightly genuine, and I don't know why no journalists are calling him on the above points in any of his interviews.

Wlad considered it necessary to have a stay busy fight, for the reasons I covered here. But if Haye genuinely wanted to fight Wlad, there is no reason why the Chisora fight should have scuppered the Haye fight.

            I understand, and point taken.

Where we will have to agree to disagree is the 9 weeks to prepare issue.

That is absurd imho, and Haye should not be required to do ANYTHING that compromises his preparation, or his paycheck.

We have a stalemate, here's why.....

" if Haye genuinely wanted to fight Wlad, there is no reason why the Chisora fight should have scuppered the Haye fight "

I can't argue with you except to say this.....
" if Wlad genuinely wanted to fight Haye, there is no reason why the Chisora fight should happen "

            What I predicted has happened.

Wlad HAS unwittingly/inadvertently, offered Haye a " genuine enough " reason to walk away from this fight.

If Haye does walk away, Wlad will regret arranging the Chisora fight when he had an opportunity to corner Haye last December.

            " Oh, but I want a stay-busy fight first ".....

" hard luck, I'm the WBA champ, you should have fought me, you knew I was planning on retiring in October, and you filled up your calendar to duck me "

If Haye decides to walk, you know what he will say Dave.

I just want the fight, and no more excuses.

I agree that it's a shame that Wlad did what he did but I think it's understandable and I don't blame him. OTOH I think what Haye is doing is pathetic and I think the fact that the press isn't calling him on it is de****able.

I also just want the fight, but if it doesn't happen, it's very clear that it's ultimately because Haye doesn't want it to happen.

Also, I don't see why you still say Haye would have only had 9 weeks to prepare. He could have started his preparation the day he signed the contract, and he could have signed the contract in January, like Adamek did. He knows damn well that Chisora won't beat Wlad. Or alternatively, he could have agreed to sign but only with the proviso that the fight had to be in September rather than July. Or he could have agreed to sign but with Vitali rather that with Wlad, because Vitali is fighting in March, which would have given him a longer gap between fights than Wlad would have had. But he didn't. And because he did none of those things, he is clearly the one who is to blame for the fight not happening, and IMO was looking for a way out all along.

And finally, Wlad did what he did because he didn't trust Haye to turn up for the fight, because of the history - not because he didn't want the fight to happen. Whereas I see no evidence that Haye genuinely wants the fight to happen. In fact he seems very relieved that it isn't going ahead, with his talk of how "I will retire with my head held high"!!

neither one of them want to fight the other.

its sad seeing two guys run around each other both lying about how much want the fight to happen, when theyre making ****** decisions so that they dont have to risk fighting one another.

what a fake wanna be **** this man is, what is worse is ******s actually back him. there is no way he will fight 2 times in 9 weeks

you need rest, promotion and then a 8 week training camp. wlad is a ducking fraud, spent ages calling haye out and then ducking him when haye agreed to all his demands
