Barrera is overrated and limited.

He can't punch, he's not a virtuoso like Floyd, he's not particularly fast and his boxing skills aren't elite.

He's mediocre.

Chico had power and a huge size advantage. Mayweather embarrassed and stopped him.

How is beating a harder opponent in better fashion not more impressive?

Both great victories but as far as where the opponent was in their careers Pacquiao's victory over Barrera has to be ranked over Mayweather's victory over Corrales.

Corrales had yet to accomplish much in his career at the time and Barrera was considered in the top three P4P on alot of peoples list and alot of media and people picked Barrera to outbox Pacquiao to a relatively easy decision.

Manny was an unknown who burst on the scene with a performance against a known warrior, elite fighter and veteran, and then proceeded to stop him.

Mayweather was just as known as Corrales and only got a stoppage because Chicos dad felt he wasn't trying hard enough.

The Corrales and Barrera fight? At least i wont vote on a poll if it would clearly indicate a negative point to my fighter instead of voting for clear fanboyism.

Really hard to say one is better than the other. Barrera is the better fighter, but the number of knockdowns Mayweather scored makes up for that.

I'll say Pac, because it was probably far more unexpected.

Well that's what happens when you boxrec and google stuff instead of actually following the sport during that time. Hell most of those guys think Barrera was shot (which is d@mn near comical) when Manny fought him, just because the boxrec'd and fought out he has two losses to Junior Jones prior to that.

are you trying to insinuate that Barrera and Corrales were on the same level in terms of greatness?

Barrera had locked up his status as an ATG and HOFer heading into that bout with Manny.

Corrales was just a guy who was getting outboxed by Garcia until Garcia fought dumb and beat an very mediocre fighter in Angel Manfredy. Outside of that, he had done absolutely nothing.

How Corrales is even on the level of Barrera is beyond me. Hell even after losing to floyd and going on to have the career he has had, Corrales still isn't a HOF fighter. Solid fighter but nothing more. The only reason he will get into the HOF is due to his death, the fact that boxing has such poor standards, and his exciting fight with Castillo.

Again no disrespect to Chico and his fans, but that the truth as far as I'm concerned.

Historically Barrera > than Corrales. Having said that Floyd put on a dominant performance. Corrales actually hit him with a few bombs which Floyd shrugged off easily.

At 130 Corrales would prob best Barrera too.

So it's difficult to say isn't it??
