Co-sign. All fighters, except for Arthur Abraham, always say they had a great camp and that they are in great shape.

Still if Lewis didn't fancy his chances he could have taken the fight at a later date instead. So he was confident enough.

I've read all kinds of Lewis interviews and he was 100% confident that he would win the fight quite easily. He had seen the fight against Byrd and thought Vitali would be easy pickings despite his size and strength.

He was wrong.

In fact there were questions by the media whether Vitali was another easy "bum of the month" opponent for Lewis.

I believe the fight was scheduled to happen on a later date in November as long as Lewis got past Johnson and Vitali got past Bostice although I could be wrong. When Johnson pulled out the two fighters decided to save the event by fighting each other since the fight was going to happen anyway.

not really, lewis came into fight night the heaviest he's ever been. that means his training camp must not have been that great.
